Podczas zjazdu omówiono problem nielegalnej migracji – wykład mgr Moniki Szuleckiej. Pogłębiono tematykę związaną z handlem ludźmi podczas spotkania z prof. Zbigniewem Lasocikiem i dr Łukaszem Wieczorkiem. Mogliśmy również posłuchać wykładu dotyczącego sprawców przestępstw w aspekcie społeczno–kulturowym w ujęciu dr Agnieszki Gutkowskiej oraz psycholog Urszuli Cur.
Pierwszy dzień studiów związany był z mechanizmami, które towarzyszą nielegalnej migracji. Dodatkowo poruszono także funkcjonowanie podmiotów odpowiedzialnych i zaangażowanych w przeciwdziałanie nielegalnej migracji – Straż Graniczna, Policja, Urząd do Spraw Cudzoziemców czy Państwowa Inspekcja Pracy. Wskazano nowe trendy towarzyszące temu zjawisku tj. pojęcie uchodźcy klimatycznego, zjawisko przemysłu migracyjnego oraz turystyki transplantacyjnej w aspekcie handlu narządami.
Drugi dzień studiów dotyczył pojęć związanych z kulturą i normami. Omówiono również rodzaje zaburzeń osobowości, które mają wpływ na psychologiczny profil sprawcy przestępstwa.
Zajęcia miały zróżnicowaną formę – wykłady i ćwiczenia. Zastosowano także tzw. studium przypadku, służące omówieniu ciekawych stanów faktycznych dotyczących form handlu ludźmi: zmuszanie do żebrania i praca przymusowa.

3rd congress of postgraduate studies - Strengthening the potential of the Border Guard in the course of operational and investigative activities in the area of combating organized international crime
On March 25-26, 2023 the third congress of postgraduate studies took place at the University of Warsaw: Strengthening the potential of the Border Guard in the course of operational and investigative activities in the area of combating organized international crime.
During the congress, the problem of illegal migration was discussed - a lecture by Monika Szulecka, MA. The subject of human trafficking was widened by prof. Zbigniew Lasocik and Dr. Łukasz Wieczorek. We could also listen to a lecture on the perpetrators of crimes in the socio-cultural aspect as seen by Dr. Agnieszka Gutkowska and psychologist Urszula Cur.
The first day of studies was related to the mechanisms that accompany illegal migration. In addition, the functioning of entities responsible and involved in counteracting illegal migration was also discussed by the Border Guard, the Police, the Office for Foreigners and the National Labor Inspectorate. New trends accompanying this phenomenon were indicated, i.e. the concept of a climate refugee, the phenomenon of the migration industry and transplant tourism in the aspect of organ trafficking.
The second day of study concerned concepts related to culture and norms. The types of personality disorders that affect the psychological profile of the offender were also discussed.
There were lectures, exercises and case studies to discuss interesting facts regarding forms of trafficking in human beings: forced begging and forced labour.

On the occasion of our academic meeting in Warsaw, it is worth mentioning the report of the Ministry of Education and Science, which published official statistical data on the most popular universities and fields of study in Poland as of the academic year 2022/2023. The University of Warsaw turned out to be the most popular among Polish universities in terms of recruitment. The most popular fields of study compared to all universities are: management and quality science, IT and telecommunications, and economics. In addition, law and medical studies. As for the number of candidates per place, the most popular were: Korean studies (25 per place), Oriental studies (24 candidates place) and green technologies (22candidates per place).
